Responsibilities

Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentoring to engineers, including Band D engineers.
Define technical strategy, architectural standards, engineering best practices, and reusable automation patterns.
Design and manage secure, scalable GCP infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes, and containerized workloads.
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Harness, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent tools.
Build and optimize cloud-native data pipelines and data products using Python, SQL, Spark, BigQuery, and modern data tooling.
Drive data platform migration, modernization, software release improvements, developer productivity, and DevOps adoption.
Define monitoring, alerting, logging, incident management, SLAs, SLOs, and operational support models.
Collaborate with product owners, engineering leads, architects, security, cloud engineering, and business stakeholders on solution direction and technical dependencies.
Support planning, estimation, roadmap delivery, and technical improvements across FDP, TS1, HOMCON, and GDW Exit initiatives.

8–14 years of experience in Data Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering.
Strong GCP expertise, including BigQuery, GKE, IAM, Networking, and Dataflow.
Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
Experience with CI/CD tooling; Harness is preferred.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Git, along with DevOps practices.
Experience with data platform architecture and solution design.
Strong stakeholder management, technical leadership, and mentoring skills.
Ability to operate as a player-coach and own technical direction rather than only individual tasks.
