Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage robust, scalable platform infrastructure using configuration management and release automation tools.
- Drive continuous deployment and software release processes.
- Integrate applications with platform services and define system architectures with development teams.
- Implement information security best practices across platform components.
- Develop scripts for automation, monitoring, and operational tasks using Python and Node.js.
- Manage source control and code management activities.
- Contribute to relational data modeling and database technology implementation.
- Perform service operations and resilience engineering to maintain platform availability and performance.
- Conduct system design, architecture reviews, and technology selection.
- Facilitate technical discussions, problem-solving, and consensus building.
- Provide technical insights and estimates for digital project management efforts.
- Share knowledge, mentor teammates, and support a high-performing engineering culture.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience is required.
- Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or in a similar role with strong system design knowledge.
- Expertise in AWS services, cloud platforms, ADO, CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, configuration management, and release automation.
- Experience with continuous deployment and release methodologies.
- Proficiency in Python and Node.js for automation and system management.
- Knowledge of source control and code management systems.
- Experience with relational data modeling and database technologies.
- Understanding of information security principles, service operations, and resilience engineering.
- Experience with solution architecture, implementation, and the software development lifecycle.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts.
- Ability to facilitate technical discussions and drive consensus.
- Understanding of digital project management principles.
