Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot complex problems spanning the full service stack.
- Deploy and update applications across compute, storage, network, and other infrastructure systems.
- Operate large-scale Kubernetes clusters in public clouds and colocation data centers.
- Monitor and manage infrastructure and application availability.
- Design, develop, and operate core backend infrastructure components using primarily Golang and Python.
- Build automation to make cloud infrastructure maintainable automatically.
- Collaborate with application development and other engineering teams to incorporate requirements and eliminate technical debt.
- Participate in global Cloud Infrastructure on-call rotations to support 24/7 availability and incident resolution.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience operating a SaaS platform as a DevOps engineer.
- Foundation in software engineering principles.
- Software development experience in Python and/or Go.
- Experience managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Strong networking fundamentals.
- Experience with GitOps deployment tooling, particularly ArgoCD.
- Understanding of Linux and shell scripting.
- Experience with containerization.
- Preferred: experience designing distributed systems.
- Preferred: experience with observability stacks.
- Preferred: experience with AWS or OCI public clouds and Terraform infrastructure as code.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
