Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Communicate project progress effectively with stakeholders.
- Design and develop new backend solutions and drive alignment across engineering and product teams.
- Determine appropriate unit, integration, and performance testing approaches for new code.
- Participate in deployments, monitoring, on-call support, and production incident investigation.
- Use logs and monitoring tools to identify root causes across distributed components.
- Participate in code reviews and take responsibility for approved code.
- Translate business requirements from product, editorial, and engineering stakeholders into robust technical solutions.
- Champion best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, and incident response.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a comparable field, and/or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience building and operating highly available, distributed backend systems in production environments.
- Experience developing large-scale backend services using Golang and/or Java.
- Experience deploying and scaling services in cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Understanding of caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control systems such as Git, GitLab, or Jenkins.
- Experience with observability tools for metrics, logging, and monitoring such as Datadog or Grafana.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, proactive, and detail-oriented skills.
