Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop, test, maintain, document, and implement software features and solutions within existing systems.
- Contribute to architectural direction, design documents, code reviews, planning, and technical discussions.
- Review and write code, test and debug small to medium-sized software development projects.
- Build scalable, performant, maintainable, testable, and resilient software, including message-based distributed systems.
- Serve as an escalation point for technical problems and maintenance issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams on project alignment and software feature delivery.
- Present technical issues, solutions, and project status to senior team members.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and help translate requirements into prioritized technical tasks.
- Help onboard new team members and communicate blockers and feedback effectively.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Working knowledge of organizational technologies, platforms, coding standards, KPIs, monitoring practices, and core tools.
- Understanding of message-based distributed systems and scalable, resilient application principles.
- Experience translating business and technical requirements into software designs, technical documentation, and high-quality software solutions.
- Experience with or exposure to Spring Boot, Spring Framework, relational databases, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, SQS, SNS, event-driven messaging, Terraform, and infrastructure as code.
- Expertise with at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP, with AWS strongly preferred.
- Experience building and testing distributed systems.
- Familiarity with object-oriented and functional programming principles.
- Familiarity with ElastiCache Redis, Elasticsearch, AWS ECS Fargate, Amazon S3, GitLab CI/CD, Datadog APM, logging, monitoring, and dashboards.
- Familiarity with AI tooling and AI concepts.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a comparable field, and/or equivalent work experience.

- The listed hiring range is $117,500 to $157,500 per year, subject to internal equity, geographic region, knowledge, skills, experience, and other factors.
