Base Salary
$170k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy software to configure and manage Linux and Windows hosting environments.
- Define infrastructure services architecture and create modules that automate infrastructure management.
- Support deployment orchestration for business applications and services in container environments.
- Configure application servers, load balancing and proxy servers, VPCs, networks, and subnets.
- Build and manage automated test frameworks and scripts supporting Puppet and business application code.
- Assess and debug container and application issues, and help operations teams troubleshoot production problems.
- Train and coach engineering teams on infrastructure and application configuration code.
- Provide product vision, standards, and best practices for configuration management software.
- Participate in code reviews and design reviews.
Requirements
- Puppet Certified Professional certification is requested.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is requested.
- Exposure to one or more programming languages, including JavaScript, Java, .NET, or Python, is requested.
- Experience with GitHub or Git version control systems is requested.
- Experience with Linux and Windows infrastructure environments is requested.
- Knowledge of CI/CD methodologies and strong troubleshooting and debugging skills are requested.
- Candidates must have or be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Candidates must pass Cherokee Federal pre-employment qualifications.
Benefits
- Estimated starting salary is $170,000–$185,000, commensurate with experience.
