Responsibilities
- Write highly testable, automatable, performant Java code across the software development lifecycle.
- Develop product features and updates according to the product roadmap.
- Create and review feature design documents and update solution specifications.
- Participate in team meetings, planning, retrospectives, and other development activities.
- Conduct code reviews, establish quality metrics, and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
- Work with application deployment patterns, deployment tools, and cloud infrastructure configuration.
- Coach or supervise mid-level and junior engineers as needed.
- Contribute to application security configuration and performance optimization.
Requirements
- In-depth proficiency in Java and defensive programming.
- Experience developing web applications using advanced framework features and industry-standard conventions.
- Hands-on experience with monolithic, microservice, and serverless architectures.
- Practical experience writing and performance-tuning complex SQL.
- In-depth proficiency with JUnit and Mockito.
- Experience with code reviews, quality metrics, monitoring, and continuous quality improvement.
- Hands-on experience with application deployment patterns and tools.
- Practical experience configuring infrastructure using popular cloud providers.
- Knowledge of software design, best practices, and design patterns.
