Senior Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack (Python, Angular)

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Create solutions that meet regulatory needs and deliver robust cloud-based experiences for customers.
- Collaborate with digital product managers on technology delivery.
- Mentor engineering community members and stay current with technology trends.
- Occasionally write code or evaluate code.
- Use full-stack programming languages, databases, container orchestration, and cloud services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 1 year of cloud computing experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 9+ years of experience in at least one of JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go preferred.
- 4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service preferred.
- 4+ years of experience with open-source frameworks preferred.
- 1+ year of people management experience preferred.
- 2+ years of experience with Agile practices preferred.
- Experience using interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion preferred.

- The McLean, Virginia full-time salary range is $229,900-$262,400; the role may also include performance-based incentive compensation.
