Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain features for the Adobe App Builder platform and related developer workflows.
- Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and runtime components for extension and integration scenarios.
- Build or contribute to frontend experiences using modern JavaScript frameworks and Adobe design systems.
- Improve developer productivity through tooling, SDKs, templates, automation, and documentation.
- Develop cloud-native patterns involving serverless functions, event-driven systems, and service integrations.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, partner, and engineering teams to define extensibility use cases and platform capabilities.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, operational readiness, testing, observability, CI/CD, and quality initiatives.
- Solve complex issues across distributed systems and improve platform reliability, usability, scalability, and adoption.
- Integrate GenAI capabilities into developer workflows to improve development speed, code quality, and engineering efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4–6 years of software engineering experience building production-quality applications or platform services.
- Strong programming skills in one or more of JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Experience building APIs, services, or microservices in a cloud environment.
- Familiarity with modern frontend development and component-based UI frameworks.
- Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including scalability, resiliency, and debugging.
- Experience with test automation, source control, code review, and CI/CD workflows.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of GenAI technologies including coding AI assistants, LLMs, agents, RAG, prompt engineering, embeddings, and vector databases.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with serverless platforms, event-driven architectures, API integrations, developer platforms, SDKs, CLIs, framework tooling, observability, monitoring, performance tuning, production support, secure application design, authentication, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Familiarity with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling is preferred.
