Responsibilities
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for software applications and systems.
- Contribute to the design, development, deployment, and architectural design of complex software systems.
- Manage the execution and delivery of features and projects while negotiating priorities and deadlines.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions with peers and stakeholders.
- Build testable software and automate tests using tools such as JUnit and Selenium.
- Maintain service health and quality, resolve incidents, analyze root causes, and implement preventive measures.
- Own software delivery from requirements through design, development, testing, deployment, and production maintenance in a DevOps model.
- Document new features, enhancements, and fixes and contribute to training materials.
- Mentor junior engineers and maintain high standards for technical excellence, observability, testing, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience contributing to complex software application and system design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Ability to participate in architectural design, code reviews, test automation, service health management, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to collaborate with product management and stakeholders and manage feature or project delivery.
- Ability to work in a DevOps model with ownership of software through production.
- Knowledge of design patterns, coding guidelines, observability, unit testing, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
