Responsibilities
- Validate production deployments to ensure they behave as intended and meet quality standards.
- Ensure reliable execution of nightly integration, regression, and load tests.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for new API integrations.
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to support frequent production deployments.
- Monitor data-stream operational metrics, detect pipeline errors and failures, and identify system deficiencies.
- Review and improve testing mechanisms for IoT integrations including Tridium and BACnet.
- Identify bottlenecks in test strategies and recommend improvements.
- Research and adopt best practices for testing data-streaming technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Communication, Electrical, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Software Test Engineer or QA Engineer.
- Strong experience planning tests for cloud-native applications and designing functional, edge, and negative test cases.
- Understanding of unit, system, integration, load/performance, and security testing.
- Hands-on test automation experience using Python and Cypress.
- Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, preferably Terraform.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate issues and proactively raise quality risks.
- Preferred experience with end-to-end IoT integration testing and MQTT messaging protocols.
- Preferred knowledge of DevOps practices, canary deployments, CI/CD pipelines, GitLab workflows, microservices architectures, and Building Management Systems.
