Base Salary
$123k - $201k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers and the open-source community on feature and bug fix requests.
- Identify and resolve ambiguity in product requirements proactively.
- Integrate software products with existing defense systems for interoperability.
- Own architecture decisions and ensure technical quality across the team.
- Develop comprehensive documentation including design specifications and user manuals.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies to inform product enhancements.
- Provide technical mentorship and elevate engineering standards.
- Influence product direction through understanding user needs and system constraints.
- Participate in a shared 24x7 on-call rotation for incident response.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Experience using Git and GitHub in collaborative environments.
- Proficiency in a modern programming language, preferably Golang or TypeScript.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using OpenTofu or Terraform.
- Strong understanding of system design, APIs, databases, and cloud architecture.
- Ability to assess complex problems and propose pragmatic solutions.
- Experience developing CLIs, Kubernetes Operators, or OpenTofu providers is a plus.
- Familiarity with Core Kubernetes Concepts including Controllers and Operators.
- Strong communication skills for conveying technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience working proactively in a remote work environment.
