Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
  • Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
  • Build data, backend, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and MLOps engineering stacks for data and AI/ML products.
  • Design and implement data engineering solutions using modern big data technologies.
  • Develop production-scale cloud-native data engineering solutions and maintain algorithms integrated with appropriate systems.
  • Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and communicate design choices and results to diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and proficient applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with modern programming and database querying languages.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle and proven experience designing microservices, distributed systems, and data-intensive applications.
  • Experience with cloud services, infrastructure as code, containerized applications, big data, and modern data engineering technologies.
  • Practical experience delivering production-scale cloud-native data engineering solutions in commercial environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud data engineering services such as ETL, Glue, S3, and Athena, as well as MLOps stacks.
  • Preferred experience with data, AWS, and AI/ML engineering; recommendation systems, LLM applications, or other AI/ML systems; Kubernetes, EKS, Docker, and MLOps; LLMs, RAG, knowledge graphs, OpenSearch, and vector databases; and collaboration with data scientists.
