Responsibilities
- Design and develop distributed backend services using .NET and event-driven architecture.
- Collaborate with product and commercial teams to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions for player engagement, rewards, and gamification.
- Optimize microservices for performance, reliability, and observability.
- Advance containerization and cloud migration strategy.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
- Write maintainable, well-tested code and conduct code reviews.
- Participate in incident resolution and the team’s on-call rotation.
- Maintain technical documentation including ADRs, runbooks, and guidelines.
- For senior engineers, lead architectural decisions and proactively identify improvement areas.
Requirements
- Solid experience with C# and modern .NET versions after .NET Core.
- Experience with backend services, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and microservices.
- Experience with relational or document databases, including indexing and query optimization, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, testing frameworks, mocking frameworks, and k6 is valued.
- Familiarity with Web APIs, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Orleans, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Splunk, and GitHub Actions is a plus.
- Understanding of unit, integration, and performance testing, continuous delivery pipelines, and deployment strategies.
- Knowledge of domain-driven design, event sourcing, actor models, or large-scale distributed systems is beneficial.
- Ability to learn, collaborate, take initiative, and write high-quality maintainable code.
