Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical vision and architectural strategy for autonomous, multi-agent systems focused on event triage.
- Explore and apply agentic technologies using dynamic reasoning, planning, and execution to automate complex triage workflows.
- Architect, design, and guide implementation of scalable agentic frameworks with dynamic tool use, self-reflection, and multi-step orchestration.
- Identify opportunities for specialized AI agents to support the Waymo Driver evaluation lifecycle.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers across DUE Experience and partner teams.
- Turn broad technical opportunities into actionable projects and roadmaps for human-on-the-loop autonomous systems.
Requirements
- Typically 10+ years of software engineering experience focused substantially on architecting and building large-scale, complex systems.
- Deep hands-on expertise in AI and machine learning, autonomous agents, multi-agent orchestration, and integrating LLMs with external tools and APIs.
- Experience defining technical strategy, influencing senior leadership, and driving execution across multiple teams.
- Strong technical leadership record designing and implementing novel agent-based solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
