Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and improve the Business Systems cloud platform and services supporting Trimble’s digital transformation.
- Become an expert in Business Systems services, including APIs, protocols such as OAuth, and user interfaces.
- Prototype solutions, create proofs of concept, and develop iterative solution proposals with the team.
- Scope and deploy new integrations for Trimble product teams and partners.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve customer integration issues.
- Communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to utilities and SDKs supporting integration and migration efforts.
- Design high-availability and disaster-recovery strategies for critical workloads.
- Lead or mentor reliability initiatives, platform automation projects, and cross-functional efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles.
- At least 2 years of leadership or mentoring experience.
- Deep expertise with AWS and its core services, including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, and Lambda.
- Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Proficiency with Docker and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
- Expertise with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or CloudWatch.
- Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Knowledge of cloud networking, security, identity, and access management.
- Experience designing high-availability and disaster-recovery strategies.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, leadership, and cross-team influencing skills.
- AWS or another cloud certification is desired.
- Experience with AIOps, serverless architectures, event-driven systems, FinOps, cost optimization, SaaS monitoring, Atlassian tools, and SQL/NoSQL databases is desired.
