Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java full-stack applications supporting FX Prime Brokerage, hedging, order management, and execution services.
- Build and operate microservices-based systems for high-volume financial markets use cases, emphasizing performance, scalability, and sound design.
- Develop front-end functionality using Angular, React, and JavaScript libraries.
- Automate testing and deployment, instrument live systems, monitor production services, and participate in occasional out-of-hours issue resolution.
- Own software through production, fix defects and operational problems, and remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Guangzhou, Toronto, London, and other global development locations.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience as a Java full-stack engineer.
- Strong Java experience and familiarity with microservices and Spring Boot.
- Experience with server-side languages such as Java; Node.js, Ruby, or Golang are advantageous.
- Experience with UI frameworks or technologies, particularly JavaScript frameworks, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar database technologies.
- Degree in engineering, information systems, or a related field.
- Financial-services or investment-banking experience is highly valuable.
- Fluent English, a problem-solving attitude, and a focus on clean, high-quality, secure solutions.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies.
