Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain FICC Pricing Applications using Java and related back-end and full-stack technologies.
- Fix bugs and defects and deliver new requirements according to agreed standards and best practices.
- Own and improve CI/CD and DevOps tools, delivery pipelines, automation, performance, and production stability.
- Gather requirements, create user stories, contribute to delivery planning, and consult with business stakeholders and product teams.
- Map requirements to delivery schedules and pipelines and coordinate with testing teams to ensure appropriate test execution.
- Identify issues, review solutions, recommend problem-solving strategies, and support the technical lead.
- Research technology, business processes, and strategy to support effective delivery for business stakeholders.
Requirements
- More than 10 years of IT experience in Java development, including individual-contributor and mentoring experience.
- Experience working on Agile projects and in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
- Experience with Vertex, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, Elasticsearch, and ELK.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, and Prometheus.
- Exposure to message-driven architectures and technologies including JMS, IBM MQ, Artemis, or Solace.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and cybersecurity tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, NexusIQ, and Checkmarx.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Oracle or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Familiarity with unit, regression, and end-to-end testing and sophisticated use of version-control tools such as Git.
- In-depth knowledge of trade life cycles and straight-through processing.
- Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation, analytical, learning, and communication skills.
- Exposure to fixed income cash and derivative products and knowledge of regulatory reporting guidelines are preferred.
- High-frequency and low-latency coding experience and knowledge of Rust, Go, or Python are preferred.
