Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of high-volume, low-latency FX systems with strong performance, scalability, and resiliency.
- Drive architecture, microservices, API design, data storage, and front-end integration decisions.
- Coach engineers through code reviews, pairing, mentoring, and guidance on implementation and design trade-offs.
- Own end-to-end delivery including development, testing, release, observability, and production support.
- Enable frequent and safe production releases while ensuring instrumentation, alerting, incident readiness, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering teams in Guangzhou, Toronto, and London across time zones.
- Address vulnerabilities and build solutions aligned with internal cybersecurity controls.
- Perform local entity management duties for Poland-based colleagues in line with governance and regulatory expectations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including substantial Java full-stack delivery.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, preferably with Spring Boot.
- Strong server-side Java development experience; Node.js, Ruby, and Go are additional advantages.
- Strong front-end experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly Angular or React.
- Working knowledge of database technologies including MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in financial services or investment banking is highly valued.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, ownership, clean solution design, secure engineering, agile delivery, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English.

- Monthly gross pay range of 24,600 PLN to 33,000 PLN, plus a discretionary variable-pay opportunity.
