Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Product Owner to understand stakeholder requirements.
  • Build and manage data-processing components and storage technologies.
  • Onboard new data sources and construct data-processing pipelines for application developers.
  • Work with Data Scientists to productionize analytics.
  • Ensure development follows continuous integration, test-driven development, code-quality, and process standards.
  • Collaborate with Architects to validate designs and follow agreed technical approaches.
  • Perform unit testing to ensure delivered component quality.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of software development experience.
  • Proven experience with microservice-based architecture.
  • Demonstrable experience with cloud service providers, particularly GCP or equivalent cloud platforms.
  • Hands-on Java or equivalent development experience with the Spring Framework, including Messaging, Data, Core, and Batch modules.
  • Strong knowledge of messaging, multithreading, XML, JSON, and web technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Elastic, Hadoop, MySQL, Bash or Python scripting, Jenkins, Ansible, and Git.
  • Knowledge of Java EE, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, React, and Material UI for web development and Java service integration.
