Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build new features and maintain an Android application for rugged Zebra handheld devices.
- Write Kotlin and Jetpack Compose code interacting with RFID, barcode, and sensor data.
- Implement offline data handling, local caching, and secure storage solutions.
- Collaborate with backend teams to support application synchronization and a consistent user experience.
- Test, debug, and troubleshoot Android application and device issues, including field issues.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and efforts to improve code quality and reliability.
- Learn and apply Android development, secure development, and DoD deployment practices.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of professional Android development experience, or equivalent experience through internships, coursework, personal projects, or other software development work.
- Familiarity with Kotlin and modern Android application development, including interest or experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Basic understanding of Kotlin coroutines, Flow, Android architecture concepts, dependency injection, and local data storage.
- Interest in hardware integrations such as RFID readers, barcode scanners, sensors, or other peripheral devices.
- Familiarity with software testing concepts such as unit, UI, or instrumentation testing.
- Familiarity with Git, pull requests, collaborative code review, branching, merge conflicts, and source-control workflows.
- Willingness to learn CI/CD and release processes, cybersecurity, application hardening, and DoD deployment requirements.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Preferred experience includes Dagger Hilt, Room, multi-module Android projects, mobile device management, Zebra devices or SDKs, RFID or barcode workflows, automated Android testing, RMF/ATO, and IL4/IL5 environments.
