Base Salary
$120k - $206k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build scalable frontend applications with Next.js, React, and TypeScript
- Implement browser-based PDF document and video rendering and manipulation
- Use WebGL and Canvas to deliver performant redaction interactions
- Build and maintain real-time multi-user workflows using WebSockets and SignalR
- Consume REST APIs and define contracts with backend engineers for efficient data flow
- Manage frontend deployments on AWS and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Identify and resolve rendering lag, memory leaks, bundle-size issues, and other frontend bottlenecks
- Translate ambiguous product requirements into technical plans and own major frontend domains through production
- Make decisions about state management, component architecture, styling, reliability, performance, and accessibility
- Conduct code reviews, uphold frontend engineering standards, participate in architectural and roadmap discussions, mentor engineers, and support technical hiring
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience owning and delivering complex frontend applications or major features end-to-end
- Strong proficiency with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Deep understanding of modern frontend architecture, state management, and hooks
- Experience with REST APIs and real-time communication through WebSockets or SignalR
- Practical experience with WebGL, HTML5 Canvas, or browser-based document and video manipulation
- Professional experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS deployment strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across a hybrid team
- Preferred experience building heavy, data-intensive web applications such as editors, design tools, or analytical dashboards
- Preferred knowledge of frontend security practices including CSPRNG, XSS prevention, and secure storage
- Preferred experience with CloudFront, S3, ECS, Tailwind CSS, or advanced CSS-in-JS libraries
