Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build new primitives and capabilities using teams of agents and knowledge sources.
- Create services and tools that simplify software development, deployment, maintenance, and operations for AWS engineers.
- Identify embedded processes and evaluate changes based on end-to-end throughput and performance.
- Automate repeatable operational work and break down nondeterministic work into smaller units.
- Collaborate with internal builder teams and stakeholders to develop the AWS software builder experience roadmap.
- Experiment rapidly, learn from unsuccessful experiments, and remain hands-on with the technology.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ year of Object Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years covering the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
