Base Salary
$130k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate backend systems for decision intelligence capabilities.
- Create services and workflows that reduce manual effort for customers.
- Own and modernize core platform services like identity and access management.
- Transform logistics data into actionable insights for decision support.
- Collaborate with product, data, and design teams to solve customer problems.
- Build and operate systems on Google Cloud Platform using managed services.
- Participate in on-call rotation to resolve issues across team services.
- Enhance observability and operational tooling for system reliability.
- Contribute to technical design discussions and code reviews.
- Mentor and support other engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building large-scale, cloud-based systems.
- Proficiency in Java with strong programming and debugging skills.
- Experience designing and building scalable Java-based microservices.
- Familiarity with APIs and web services (REST, OpenAPI/Swagger).
- Experience with NoSQL and/or relational databases like MongoDB or Postgres.
- Experience in an Agile software development environment.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools while maintaining code quality.
