Base Salary
$147k - $202k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build developer tooling for securing and managing infrastructure such as MCP servers
- Build demo applications showcasing secure, identity-powered AI use cases
- Contribute to open source projects in the Auth0 and AI identity ecosystems
- Write and maintain API references, quickstarts, best practices, and AI-native documentation such as llm.txt
- Create adapters, utilities, and interfaces for emerging AI frameworks, agent runtimes, and orchestration layers
- Collaborate with design, product, and security teams on developer needs, roadmap direction, and compliance requirements
- Mentor and support engineers while promoting strong code quality, testing, and architectural practices
- Lead design discussions and influence team-wide engineering standards and architectural decisions
- Ensure resilience and security for agent-to-agent and model-to-service communication
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience, including building tools, frameworks, or platforms for developers
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Golang and/or Python, with the ability to work across front-end and back-end contexts
- Experience with LLM APIs, agent runtimes, orchestration layers, or prompt pipelines
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization systems, especially OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT
- Experience leading architecture and design efforts for scalable, production-grade systems
- Experience contributing to and maintaining open source projects and engaging with developer communities
- Strong interest in documentation and developer experience
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
