AI Native Software Engineer
InformaticaBase Salary
$197k - $345k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and build core control-plane and telemetry experiences spanning domain models, events, APIs, and user-facing products.
- Translate distributed-system concepts such as state, dependencies, policy, identity, lineage, orchestration, failure, and recovery into clear product primitives and interactions.
- Develop workflows for agent-executed work, including intent, permissions, observation, explanation, auditing, and reversal.
- Create information-rich visualizations for state, change, relationships, anomalies, causality, and uncertainty.
- Define human-oversight patterns, including review, escalation, guardrails, auditability, and intervention requirements.
- Prototype interaction models, validate them against technical constraints, and carry successful concepts into production systems.
- Shape architecture and product direction through working software and technical judgment.
Requirements
- Deep experience with data-intensive or distributed systems, including state, consistency, failure modes, asynchronous behavior, scale, and operational tradeoffs.
- Experience building platform or control-plane software rather than only consuming infrastructure.
- Experience directing multi-agent software development workflows and applying specification-driven AI-native engineering practices.
- Exceptional product, information-architecture, visualization, and interaction-design instincts.
- Demonstrated ability to make high-dimensional, dynamic, or operational data understandable for real decisions.
- Ability and willingness to work across backend architecture, APIs, prototyping, and user-facing experiences.
- Strong AI-native product judgment concerning agency, context, permissions, observability, evaluation, trust, and human control.
- Ability to reason about risk, reversibility, uncertainty, accountability, and cost in human-in-the-loop designs.
- Comfort with ambiguity, first-principles product development, and zero-to-one technical and product work.
- Preferred experience includes databases, distributed compute, orchestration, telemetry, observability, governance, security, developer infrastructure, investigative interfaces, enterprise technical products, rich web applications, AI agents, tool-using models, and human-in-the-loop systems.
Benefits
- Salesforce offers time off programs, medical, dental, vision, mental health support, paid parental leave, life and disability insurance, 401(k), and an employee stock purchasing program.
- The role may be fully remote for the right person.
