Base Salary
$190k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end from ideation and technical design through implementation, deployment, iteration, and production operation.
- Build and ship scalable 0-to-1 products and systems across frontend, backend services, APIs, data models, and internal tools.
- Develop customer experiences using TypeScript, AWS Lambda, Next.js, and other frameworks and languages.
- Design and execute tests, database models, APIs, and systems that support scalability, performance, reliability, and mobile applications.
- Improve Odyssey’s Marketplace platform in collaboration with product and design teams.
- Contribute to system design, platform management, code reviews, capacity planning, and architectural decisions.
- Monitor, debug, maintain, and continuously improve production systems while proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in TypeScript for building robust, scalable applications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present new approaches and concepts to the team.
- Understanding of Agile practices and flexibility in evolving project environments.
- Experience with early- to mid-stage technology startups and enthusiasm for startup growth dynamics.
- Preferred: experience with scalable AWS software, double-entry ledgers, payments, money movement, end-to-end service ownership, infrastructure maintenance, infrastructure-as-code technologies, CI/CD, and observability tools.
