Responsibilities
- Identify and scope high-impact financial crime and fraud opportunities for machine learning.
- Design and develop advanced real-time machine learning models to detect suspicious behavior and changing fraud trends.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of ML solutions from business problem definition through measurable production impact.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and best-practice guidance across the machine learning discipline.
- Work with MLOps specialists to improve tools supporting rapid model iteration and the full ML model lifecycle.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, backend engineers, designers, and other stakeholders in a cross-functional product squad.
Requirements
- Multiple-year track record leading the development and deployment of advanced machine learning models for real business problems, preferably in a fast-moving technology company.
- Experience developing and shipping deep learning, graph-based, and/or sequence-based ML architectures to production.
- Extensive experience writing production Python and strong command of SQL.
- Willingness to learn Go, which is used in backend microservices.
- Experience working through ambiguity, communicating ML concepts to non-specialists, and collaborating cross-functionally.
- Product mindset with a focus on customer outcomes, measurable impact, and data-informed decisions.
- Preferred: experience with financial crime and regulated institutions.
- Preferred: commercial experience writing critical production code and working with microservices.
