Senior / Lead / Principal Software Engineer - Foundations Team (Infrastructure/Platform)

Responsibilities
- Architect and implement secure, fault-tolerant, highly available cloud infrastructure and foundational backend systems.
- Optimize system performance and remove bottlenecks for highly trafficked services operating at scale.
- Lead the evolution of continuous integration and deployment pipelines across a multi-service environment.
- Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and changes using infrastructure as code.
- Monitor infrastructure, configure anomaly alerts, and proactively maintain system health using observability tools.
- Define and maintain runbooks, operating procedures, and system architecture diagrams while upholding testing and code-review standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers and promote engineering excellence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong emphasis on backend systems, cloud platforms, and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, TypeScript, Ruby, or comparable programming languages.
- Deep experience architecting secure solutions on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience with automated infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Experience with automated deployments using Kubernetes, AWS ECS, or Docker.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools such as DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
- Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, PostgreSQL, and data warehousing solutions such as ClickHouse.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude or Cursor.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
