Senior / Lead / Principal Software Engineer - Foundations Team (Infrastructure/Platform)

Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, fault-tolerant, highly available cloud infrastructure on public cloud services.
- Optimize system performance and resolve bottlenecks for highly trafficked services.
- Lead the evolution of CI/CD pipelines across a multi-service environment.
- Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and changes using infrastructure-as-code.
- Monitor infrastructure, configure anomaly alerts, and proactively maintain system health using observability tools.
- Define and maintain runbooks, operating procedures, and system architecture diagrams.
- Uphold quality through testing and code reviews.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with emphasis on backend systems, cloud platforms, and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, TypeScript, Ruby, or similar programming languages.
- Deep experience architecting secure solutions on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or comparable cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with automated infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or similar tools.
- Experience with automated deployments using Kubernetes, AWS ECS, Docker, or similar container orchestration technologies.
- Hands-on experience with DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar monitoring and logging tools.
- Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, PostgreSQL, and data warehousing solutions such as ClickHouse.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude or Cursor.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.

- The typical base salary range is $117,200–$313,700 annually, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.
