Base Salary
$180k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate search indexes at massive scale.
- Design, build, and maintain the indexing infrastructure for Firecrawl's core product.
- Solve ranking, relevance, and query understanding challenges.
- Tackle freshness, deduplication, and incremental indexing issues.
- Run experiments and ship results to production quickly.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to connect search/IR improvements with the product roadmap.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building search/IR systems at scale.
- Hands-on experience with ranking, relevance, and query understanding.
- Ability to own the full stack from ingestion to serving.
- Experience solving freshness, deduplication, and incremental indexing problems.
- Self-directed and capable of shipping code without handholding.
