Responsibilities
- Design and develop IIoT hardware platforms with seamless hardware-software integration.
- Develop control-plane and data-plane software for industrial IoT switching and routing products.
- Design and implement low-level software components, including BSPs, device drivers, and kernel modules.
- Analyze requirements and create software designs, detailed design documents, and functional specifications.
- Code, unit test, and automate white-box testing for software components and modules.
- Triage, debug, and determine root causes for simulations, software bring-up issues, and customer failures.
- Develop innovative solutions that may support patent filings and creation of intellectual property.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, EE/ECE, or a related field with 1–3 years of experience, or a master’s degree with 1–2 years of experience.
- Proficiency writing quality code in C and C++.
- Strong understanding of operating systems such as Linux, RTOS, and Unix, with experience in Linux kernel and device-driver development.
- Experience developing software or firmware for networking equipment.
- Experience with debugging and software verification methodologies.
- Experience using AI tools for software development.
- Preferred experience with control-plane or data-plane software, data structures, and Linux, RTOS, or networking OS internals.
- Preferred networking experience with L2/L3, wireless, or security protocols, or development and validation of peripheral interfaces.
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certifications are desirable.
- Strong communication and strategic planning skills, self-motivation, and focus on execution.
