Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain user-space daemons and services for switch firmware.
- Work on the Insight cloud agent subsystem, including REST API handlers and device-to-cloud communication.
- Enhance and maintain the Cisco IOS-style CLI framework and configuration database engine.
- Develop and maintain the web-based management interface using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Implement and maintain SNMP MIB support for network management integration.
- Write test cases and perform firmware validation on physical switch hardware.
- Collaborate with various engineering teams and participate in code reviews and sprint planning.
- Utilize AI coding agents to accelerate coding, debugging, and documentation tasks.
Requirements
- B.Tech/B.E or M.Tech/M.E in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of professional experience in embedded or systems software development.
- Proficiency in C programming on Linux, including user-space applications and IPC mechanisms.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, VLANs, and DHCP.
- Experience with REST API development in C or embedded HTTP servers.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for web-based interfaces.
- Experience with GNU Make build systems and cross-compilation for embedded targets.
- Comfortable working with Git in a multi-developer environment.
- Active use of AI coding assistants in daily development work.
