Responsibilities
- Drive the design, development, implementation, and documentation of scalable software platforms.
- Create high- and low-level designs, lead design discussions, and make technical decisions.
- Build enhanced processes and technical solutions supporting strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with architects, cross-functional teams, Product Management, business stakeholders, and engineering teams across geographies.
- Ensure solution delivery follows established architectural and quality, cost, and delivery practices.
Requirements
- 11+ years of experience designing and developing highly scalable applications and platforms.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience developing microservices and RESTful web services in Java using SpringBoot, Dropwizard, or an equivalent framework.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture, microservice architecture, service registries, ELK or Splunk, virtual machines, and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and DevOps or CI/CD development environments and tools.
- End-to-end ownership of at least one cloud-based project and strong hands-on prototyping skills.
- Minimum qualification of either a bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus four years of related experience, or six years of related software engineering experience.
- Preferred qualification of a relevant master's degree plus two years of related experience.
