Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable Azure Kubernetes Service clusters for mission-critical workloads.
- Implement secure cluster networking, workload identities, governance policies, and AKS performance and cost optimization.
- Develop reusable ARM Templates and Bicep infrastructure-as-code templates and migrate legacy ARM templates to Bicep.
- Architect and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure using Azure DevOps and related tooling.
- Manage Azure Repos, Boards, Pipelines, Artifacts, environment configurations, secrets management, and pipeline governance.
- Design and implement Azure Landing Zones aligned with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework.
- Define identity, networking, governance, policies, management groups, Azure Policies, and RBAC guardrails for enterprise environments.
- Develop and manage Terraform modules and use Terraform Cloud or Enterprise for remote state, workspaces, policies, and secure provisioning.
- Resolve incidents, handle escalations, lead root-cause analysis, and participate in a 24x7 rotational support model.
- Create architectural documentation, design specifications, deployment guides, runbooks, and infrastructure-as-code repository conventions.
- Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions, workshops, and technical enablement for teams.
- Coordinate personnel and task assignments and provide guidance on DevOps, cloud governance, scalability, cost optimization, and security practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure operations, and automation.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying Azure cloud environments for high-availability systems.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD tooling, and automation scripting.
- Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Experience with Azure services including VMs, Blob Storage, AKS, and Azure Active Directory.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Ansible, Bash, and Python.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM policies, RBAC, compliance standards, and governance.
- Experience with ServiceNow or an equivalent ITSM tool for incident and change management.
- Experience working in a 24x7 rotational support model.
- Strong documentation, communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, and optimization skills.
- Relevant Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, are expected or advantageous.
- Familiarity with CloudFormation, AWS and Azure networking, VPCs, subnets, load balancers, security groups, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Splunk, Azure Security Center, and Azure CAF is advantageous.
