Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable Azure Kubernetes Service clusters for mission-critical workloads.
- Implement secure AKS networking, workload identities, governance policies, monitoring integrations, and performance, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Develop reusable ARM Templates and Bicep infrastructure-as-code templates and migrate legacy ARM templates to Bicep.
- Architect and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure using Azure DevOps and related automation tools.
- Manage Azure Repos, Boards, Pipelines, Artifacts, and environment configurations.
- Design and implement Azure Landing Zones aligned with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, including identity, networking, governance, policies, and management groups.
- Develop Terraform modules and manage Terraform Cloud or Enterprise for remote state, secure pipelines, policy enforcement, workspaces, and governance.
- Lead root cause analysis, incident resolution, escalation handling, and support in a 24x7 rotational model.
- Create architectural documents, design specifications, deployment guides, runbooks, and infrastructure-as-code repository documentation.
- Provide knowledge transfer, workshops, and technical guidance on DevOps, cloud governance, scalability, cost optimization, and security.
- Allocate personnel, supervise team members, assign tasks, and support team performance and resource management.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure operations, and automation.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying highly available Azure cloud environments.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD tooling, and automation scripting.
- Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions and infrastructure as code using Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
- Familiarity with Bash and Python scripting.
- Experience with Azure services including virtual machines, Blob Storage, AKS, and Azure Active Directory.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Ansible, cloud security, IAM policies, compliance standards, and ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM tools.
- Experience with 24x7 rotational support.
- Relevant Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
- Preferred familiarity with CloudFormation, AWS and Azure networking services, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Splunk, Azure Security Center, and the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework.
- Strong documentation, communication, troubleshooting, collaboration, and optimization skills.
