Base Salary
$156k - $233k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, code, and maintain high-quality cloud-based applications in collaboration with product owners and application developers.
- Align software architecture with user requirements and established platform development processes.
- Provide occasional technical assistance for escalated production issues.
- Evaluate industry trends and new software technologies for platform development applicability.
- Provide technical leadership to an Agile team when required.
- Lead performance optimization efforts involving memory management, parallelization, and algorithm efficiency.
Requirements
- Typically requires 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a master’s degree, 3 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
- Strong proficiency in one or more low-level programming languages such as C++ or Rust, including language internals, performance optimization, and memory management.
- Experience with SaaS multitenant database architectures using RDBMS and NoSQL stores such as Elasticsearch, Cassandra, and MongoDB.
- Deep understanding of SOA, web security architecture, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and other architectural patterns.
- Client-side MVC framework experience with AngularJS or KnockoutJS is a plus.
- Proficiency with source control repositories such as Git or SVN and configuration management practices.
- Extensive experience writing high-quality unit tests against mock objects.
- Understanding of object-oriented analysis and design.
- Experience delivering high-quality software in fast-paced teams using established Agile methodologies and formal schedules.
- Troubleshooting and debugging experience with low-level debugging and profiling tools such as GDB, LLDB, perf, or Valgrind is desired.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, ownership, and self-management skills are desired.
