Responsibilities
- Drive mid-size feature application design and development efforts to completion and support larger software initiatives.
- Serve as a development lead and key decision-maker in application design discussions.
- Analyze and troubleshoot coding, application performance, design, and defect-resolution challenges.
- Research root causes and address dependencies across hardware, platforms, operating systems, performance requirements, and upstream or downstream systems.
- Contribute to coding, testing, debugging, implementation standards, test plans, and software quality practices.
- Participate across the full development life cycle and coordinate dependencies between agile and waterfall delivery.
- Partner with technology and user-experience vendors on implementation plans, roadmaps, and development opportunities.
- Communicate progress, anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, and identify, assess, track, and mitigate risks.
- Improve architecture, build, delivery, production operations, and business processes across teams.
- Share technical knowledge through team forums and support coaching and training of new recruits.
- Drive compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and control requirements.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in a product development or product management environment.
- Bachelor's or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a data-driven, results-oriented approach.
- Experience delivering software with an agile methodology.
- Experience influencing large-scale culture change.
- Experience leading infrastructure programs.
- Experience working with third-party service providers.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with substantial autonomy, provide subject-matter expertise, and lead medium-scale software development efforts.
