Responsibilities

Build and optimize backend services for virtual power plant operations and energy market integrations.
Design systems connecting backend services with data-processing pipelines.
Drive technical decisions and guide engineers on architectural choices.
Work across data engineering, backend engineering, and energy market domains.
Collaborate with product managers, data engineers, and data scientists across team boundaries.
Mentor engineers and coordinate technical work across domains.
Write maintainable, documented, and testable code.

Proven experience developing scalable backend solutions with TypeScript.
Fundamentals of data engineering and experience designing systems that bridge backend and data processing.
Hands-on experience with energy service interfaces, including smart meters, optimization, or load balancing.
Strong knowledge of architectural patterns, CI/CD using GitHub Actions, and cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP.
Ability to guide architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and coordinate across domains.
Experience with virtual power plant infrastructure and energy market integrations is a plus.
Python and BigQuery experience in data engineering or machine learning contexts is a plus.
IoT experience for grid balancing and demand response is a plus.
Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform is a plus.
Familiarity with energy market APIs such as EPEX Spot and Montel is a plus.
