Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems.
- Build and maintain Kubernetes deployments using Helm and Flux.
- Develop Java software, enterprise APIs, RESTful web services, and microservices.
- Troubleshoot software, keep current with emerging technologies, and support multiple deadlines.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and team guidance.
- Develop cloud integrations, Kubernetes tooling, automation, and database or search capabilities as needed.
Requirements
- Nine years of software engineering experience with a related bachelor’s degree, seven years of relevant experience with a related master’s degree, or 13 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong Java development experience and experience with modern Java frameworks and libraries such as Spring and Guava.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Flux, enterprise APIs, RESTful web services, microservices, Linux, and configuration management tools.
- Experience with Git, Nexus, Maven, and demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, or engineering team management.
- U.S. citizenship is required; a current U.S. government security clearance is desired but not required, with Secret or TS-level clearances considered.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment averaging two days per week at the San Antonio office.
- Preferred experience includes AWS, Azure, Kubernetes operators and custom CRDs, Golang, Python, GitLab CI pipelines, distributed or NoSQL databases, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr, scripting, and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub Enterprise.
