Responsibilities
- Investigate complex technical problems across live environments by analyzing system behavior, data flows, and configurations.
- Build and maintain internal automation tools, workflows, and dashboards to eliminate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Operations, GDS Specialists, Solution Architects, Product, and R&D as a technical bridge.
- Develop AI-powered tooling to automate repetitive operational tasks, surface anomalies, and accelerate investigation workflows.
- Identify patterns in operational data and turn them into scalable technical solutions before recurring issues arise.
- Manage long-term projects and deliver them on time.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in technical operations, backend engineering, or a similar engineering role.
- Development experience with Python and/or JavaScript.
- Experience building automations and internal tooling from scratch.
- Solid technical fundamentals in SQL, log analysis, API debugging, and system administration.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools and LLM-based workflows.
- Strong investigative skills and the ability to navigate ambiguous problems across systems and data independently.
- Familiarity with GDS web services such as Sabre, Amadeus, or equivalent.
- Travel technology or airline and booking systems experience is a significant advantage.
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or equivalent is a significant advantage.
