Responsibilities
- Develop and execute functional and automated test scenarios for automotive and distributed vehicle features.
- Implement and maintain automation code, scripts, tools, debugging processes, and validation workflows.
- Review requirements for testability and collaborate with development and test teams to define testing needs.
- Log test results in JIRA, debug failures, identify root causes, and enter valid defects into the tracking system.
- Reproduce and troubleshoot system defects with feature engineers and perform hardware and software root-cause analysis.
- Support system design, documentation, code reviews, sprint planning estimates, and validation of infotainment and upcoming vehicle programs.
- Inspect and maintain laboratory test-bench nodes using corrective and predictive maintenance processes.
- Identify testing improvements and provide detailed feedback and comprehensive bug reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field with emphasis on control systems.
- At least 3 years of experience in dynamic systems and embedded real-time controls development for automotive or similarly complex electromechanical systems.
- Experience with data analysis, scripting, and dynamic-system modeling and simulation using Python, TestRail, MATLAB, Simulink, or Stateflow.
- Experience with systems engineering tools including boundary diagrams, fault tree analyses, FMEAs, and P-diagrams.
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR standards and automotive software-development tools.
- Experience with C or C++ and subject-matter expertise in chassis hardware and controls, including brakes, steering, and suspension.
- Understanding of automotive powertrain systems and controls, including hybrids, dynamics, hydraulics, electric machines, batteries, and mechatronics.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Preferred experience with ADAS feature testing, over-the-air updates, and test-bench construction.
