Responsibilities
- Develop and execute functional automated test scenarios based on user stories and sprint requirements.
- Interface with development and test teams to understand requirements and implement automated tests and related tools.
- Review project requirements for testability and provide testing estimates during sprint planning.
- Log test results and defects, debug failures, determine root causes, and validate fixes.
- Work with feature engineers to reproduce and troubleshoot hardware and software defects.
- Perform root-cause analysis of hardware quality problems and software failures.
- Participate in system design, documentation, and testing for infotainment and vehicle systems.
- Maintain hardware laboratory nodes using corrective and predictive maintenance processes.
- Develop script-debugging processes and maintain code, scripts, and tools that expand test automation capabilities.
- Contribute to automation improvements, new-feature validation, vehicle-program testing, velocity tracking, code reviews, and detailed bug reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field with emphasis on control systems.
- At least 3 years of experience with dynamic systems and embedded real-time controls development for automotive or similarly complex electromechanical systems.
- Experience with data analysis, scripting, and dynamic-system modeling and simulation using Python, TestRail, MATLAB, Simulink, or Stateflow.
- Experience with systems-engineering tools and analyses including boundary diagrams, fault tree analyses, FMEAs, and P-diagrams.
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR standards and automotive software-development tools.
- Experience with C or C++.
- Subject-matter expertise in chassis hardware and controls, including brakes, steering, and suspension.
- Understanding of automotive powertrain systems and controls, including hybrids, dynamics, hydraulics, electric machines, batteries, and mechatronics.
- Effective communication, documentation, interpersonal, multitasking, and collaboration skills in a diverse global team.
- Preferred: ADAS feature-testing experience, over-the-air update experience, and test-bench construction experience.
