Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize low-latency Java services and protocols for an Exchange Accelerator product.
- Define order, session, instrument, and account models and exchange integration boundaries.
- Develop automated testing strategies and perform performance benchmarking, profiling, and production diagnosis.
- Collaborate with client teams, SREs, QA, leadership, and business stakeholders on exchange readiness and technical trade-offs.
- Support the product across multiple client deployments and deliver durable production fixes.
- Own key technical workstreams from concept through production readiness after six months.
Requirements
- Strong server-side, low-latency Java expertise including concurrency, memory management, I/O, and performance profiling.
- Significant experience building Platform Exchange Systems, including matching engines.
- Experience with exchange, risk, or matching-engine systems.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing, performance benchmarking, and production issue diagnosis.
- Experience with order-entry and market-data protocols such as FIX and ITCH.
- Familiarity with low-latency frameworks such as Aeron, Chronicle, or LBM.
- Understanding of replicated state machines, event sourcing, or deterministic systems.
- Exposure to AWS or GCP, containers, Kubernetes, or observability tooling.
- Strong technical communication and collaborative problem-solving skills.
