Responsibilities
- Study workload execution on Apple silicon across Apple platforms.
- Design and conduct performance experiments.
- Create instrumentation and data visualizations for power and performance metrics.
- Prototype innovative in-kernel performance-control algorithms.
- Collaborate with core operating-system and user-facing application teams.
- Productize software controlling workload performance across Apple products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline.
- Experience with operating-system design and implementation.
- System-level or low-level software development experience in C or C++.
- Preferred: minimum of 20 years of relevant industry experience.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline.
- Preferred: knowledge of computer architecture and hardware performance-monitoring instrumentation.
- Preferred: userland development experience with C, C++, Swift, or Python.
- Preferred: experience with system-level performance profiling, debugging tools, and tracing frameworks such as DTrace, Instruments, or perf.
- Preferred: familiarity with data analysis, statistical modeling, or visualization techniques for complex power and performance metrics.
