Base Salary
$129k - $292k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, monitor, and optimize machine learning models and AI systems for large-scale production environments.
- Lead the full ML lifecycle, including data exploration, feature engineering, experimentation, training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Architect scalable ML pipelines and infrastructure using cloud technologies and modern ML frameworks.
- Design and deploy LLM, agentic AI, multi-agent orchestration, tool-use, autonomous workflow, and RAG solutions.
- Optimize models for edge environments using quantization, pruning, and distillation for low-latency inference.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, data, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into ML solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards, coding practices, and engineering excellence.
- Partner with data engineering teams on dataset quality and pipeline integrations.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and contribute to ML strategy for law enforcement and homeland security clients.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
- Experience with Python and machine learning frameworks.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and scalable ML platforms such as SageMaker, Azure ML, or Vertex AI.
- Experience building data pipelines and applying MLOps practices, including model versioning, monitoring, and deployment automation.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistics, model optimization, and evaluation methodologies.
- Ability to design distributed systems and work with microservice-based architectures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
- Preferred experience with LLMs, generative AI, RAG, prompt engineering, agentic AI, and multi-agent frameworks.
- Preferred experience with edge AI optimization, embedded hardware deployment, Docker, Kubernetes, and production ML workloads.
- Master’s degree preferred and doctorate degree a plus.
