Responsibilities
- Implement and continuously improve AI-native software security practices across the Services Software Portfolio.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and Security Champions on AI-assisted development, automated remediation, and secure developer workflows.
- Integrate security controls into software development lifecycle processes to support consistent and secure delivery.
- Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, evaluate attack paths, and prioritize remediation.
- Improve vulnerability detection and triage capabilities while reducing false positives.
- Perform secure code reviews and guide developers on secure coding patterns and AI-generated recommendations.
- Improve security monitoring, anomaly detection, and production resilience with product and operations teams.
- Evaluate emerging AI-security capabilities, develop proofs of concept, and integrate proven approaches into engineering workflows.
- Review software architectures and applications to identify risks and recommend security improvements.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, process improvements, adoption measurement, documentation, and team enablement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Typically 5+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 3+ years with a master’s degree, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of application security, secure development lifecycle practices, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and open-source security.
- Experience applying security practices in Agile or DevOps development environments.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Practical experience with application security testing, code review, vulnerability scanning, or related security tools.
- Familiarity with security tools such as Snyk, Veracode, or comparable commercial or open-source alternatives.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Understanding of common software vulnerabilities, including the OWASP Top 10, and approaches to preventing or remediating them.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools or modern large language model platforms is desirable.
- Familiarity with AI or machine-learning frameworks is desirable.
- A relevant industry cybersecurity certification is desirable.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and technical guidance skills.
