Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance calculation engines and services for fixed-income indices and large-scale financial data.
  • Architect scalable distributed systems and analytics services while balancing latency, throughput, cost, and accuracy.
  • Implement data lineage, reconciliation, anomaly detection, reproducibility, auditability, and version control across analytics models and data.
  • Develop, deploy, and integrate AI-driven solutions and machine-learning models into enterprise financial platforms.
  • Lead architecture discussions, code reviews, technical standards, system modernization, and best practices for reliability and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver platform features supporting business operations and client needs.
  • Mentor junior developers and lead, mentor, and grow engineers and quantitative developers.
  • Work autonomously to ramp up on complex financial domains and lead greenfield platform buildouts.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software development experience with enterprise Java, Java 17/21, or equivalent JVM languages such as Kotlin or Scala, including concurrency, JVM tuning, and memory management.
  • Experience with the Spring ecosystem or comparable enterprise frameworks such as Quarkus, Micronaut, or Jakarta EE.
  • Experience designing distributed systems, microservices, RESTful APIs, and integrations with message brokers.
  • Hands-on experience building, deploying, and integrating AI/ML models, generative AI, or AI-driven analytics into enterprise software platforms.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms, with deep hands-on AWS experience for scalable distributed systems and microservices architectures.
  • Extensive experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
  • Proven expertise in fixed-income system design and analytics.
  • Ability to work independently, learn complex systems rapidly, and lead greenfield platform buildouts.
  • Preferred: financial-services experience involving fixed-income securities, indices, or calculation engines.
  • Preferred: Python or other scripting languages for data processing and automation.
  • Preferred: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps experience.
  • Preferred: performance optimization, high-frequency data processing, and AI-augmented software engineering experience.
