Responsibilities
- Own and engineer tier-zero security capabilities for secure deployment and management of Fin.
- Design, build, and evolve customer-facing authentication, SAML/SSO, permissions, audit logging, malicious URL scanning, and enterprise security features.
- Partner with engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle to build secure products and services.
- Conduct architecture reviews, threat modeling exercises, and security assessments.
- Build security tooling, automation, and developer-facing building blocks for secure development.
- Contribute to secure development standards, guidance, and best practices.
- Lead application security initiatives and help teams identify and address security risks early.
- Participate in on-call rotation and lead security incident investigations and remediation.
- Drive security initiatives from problem definition through implementation and measurable outcomes.
- Assess and mitigate emerging security risks in AI-powered products.
- Help develop AI-powered detection, red-team automation, continuous monitoring, and other defensive capabilities.
- Support secure adoption of AI-assisted software development tools and workflows.
Requirements
- Proven application security, product security, or security engineering experience in a SaaS environment.
- Strong software engineering skills, including designing, building, and operating production systems.
- Deep understanding of application security threats, secure software development, and threat modeling.
- Experience designing, building, or securing authentication, authorization, identity, or enterprise security capabilities.
- Experience conducting architecture reviews and security assessments for complex systems.
- Hands-on security incident response experience, including leading investigations and remediation.
- Strong programming skills and experience building security tools, automation, or developer-focused solutions.
- Comfort using modern AI-assisted development tools.
- Ability to communicate security concepts clearly and collaborate with engineering teams.
- Pragmatic approach to balancing security, customer impact, and engineering velocity.
- Bonus: experience with authentication, SAML/SSO, identity, access management, security automation, cloud security, infrastructure security, distributed systems, large language models, agentic systems, retrieval-based architectures, or AI tool integrations.
- Bonus: experience in both large-scale SaaS environments and high-growth companies.
