Responsibilities
- Evolve Monzo’s native Android banking application and build polished customer experiences.
- Balance rapid iteration with well-tested, resilient code.
- Work in a small autonomous product squad alongside iOS Engineers, Backend Engineers, User Researchers, Product Designers, Product Managers, QA Testers, and Data Scientists.
- Contribute to decisions about what to build and how to build it in support of overall company goals.
- Write unit tests for ViewModels, Coordinators, and other classes containing logic.
- Write Compose screen tests and snapshot tests using Happo, and test application flows with Espresso.
- Participate in the Android discipline to improve tools, techniques, the codebase, and engineering processes.
Requirements
- Experience programming in Kotlin.
- Experience shipping and iterating on at least one application in the Play Store.
- A product mindset focused on customer outcomes and data-informed decisions.
- Ability to turn excellent design into polished products.
- Comfort working in a collaborative team dealing with ambiguity.
- Understanding of computer science principles.
