Responsibilities
- Drive technical discussions and application architecture decisions while implementing programming standards.
- Design and manage software development, testing, monitoring, and change-management processes.
- Develop native iOS applications using appropriate frameworks and technologies.
- Identify technical debt and improve team productivity, scalability, maintainability, and delivery.
- Collaborate with product teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers.
- Evaluate emerging development techniques, frameworks, and technologies and recommend potential applications.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in native iOS mobile application development.
- Hands-on experience with Swift and SwiftUI.
- Knowledge of data structures, system design, and software design patterns.
- Experience with API design and MVC or MVVM application architectures.
- Experience with declarative UI development.
- Experience using Git and familiarity with DevOps practices.
- Ability to make technical decisions involving architecture, frameworks, scalability, maintainability, and software development standards.
- Ability to collaborate with product teams and align technical solutions with business goals.
- Preferred: full-stack development experience; familiarity with cloud services, GraphQL, Firebase, or similar technologies; technical mentorship experience; AI tooling proficiency; and a background or experience in journalism.
