
GE Vernova CIC Systems Engineer Co-op - Spring - Summer 2027
GE VernovaResponsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software using Java, C, or C++.
- Integrate GE Cloud DevOps tools into the GE MDS process, including Python Robot Framework regression automation.
- Assist with designing and developing subsystems and software features for a next-generation product line.
- Estimate implementation and issue-resolution effort, support task prioritization, and report progress to project management.
- Follow formal engineering processes, software design techniques, and development procedures while completing an assigned project.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled full time in an undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT.
- Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA without rounding.
- Experience with computer and networking administration, including Linux or Windows.
- Experience with software development, revision control, Git or GitHub, Python scripting, Linux Bash, and Windows Batch scripts.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, SSH, HTTP, DHCP, physical network topologies, and Ethernet bridging.
- Working understanding of Jira and Confluence or equivalent tools.
- Proficiency in Java, C++, and C, plus experience creating web UIs.
- Demonstrated analytical problem solving, curiosity, initiative, leadership, teamwork, interpersonal skills, and willingness to learn.
- Must meet the stated U.S. export-controlled information eligibility requirements.
Benefits
- January–August 2027 co-op term with a 40-hour-per-week first-shift schedule.
- Pay ranges from $21.00/hr to $34.00/hr based on undergraduate or graduate field-of-study progress.
- Relocation assistance is available for eligible co-op/intern employees located more than 50 miles from the work location.
- Eligible co-op/intern employees may receive a weekly housing allowance when their permanent residence is at least 50 miles from the work location.
- Employee Assistance Program and eligibility for the GE Retirement Savings Plan after the stated service and plan requirements.
- U.S. internship roles are ineligible for GE Vernova benefits.
